Friday, July 10: The art show Visual Voices: Community of Ideas | Community of Prints at Roberta & Bob Rogers Gallery (RBRG) was created by art viewers and anyone who wished to use their visual voice to express their thoughts, ideas, reactions, and feelings on social issues happening today. The printmaking began in June and over 25 members of the community have participated, from age 11 to 80-plus. They ask that attendees practice social distancing and wear masks. For more information and to view some examples of the work, click here.

Friday, July 10: Yep, we’re going back to the garden. This time it’s for a free, socially distanced, concert from Nick Rucker Country. Food will be available for purchase from Johnny Riccos Brooklyn Pizza starting around 5 p.m. if you want to get set up a little early. Get the full lowdown here.

Saturday, July 11: If you’ve been curious about taking a walking tour, now is your chance to check one out for free. This Saturday, the North Omaha Love Tour is free, and you can learn from one of North Omaha’s most recognizable figures, Preston Love Jr., who will share stories of his life and his father’s role in the vibrant jazz culture of the past. Please be sure to register here now, as they ask for a minimum of 24 hours advance notice.

Saturday, July 11: African Cultural Connection is holding their annual fundraising event Tkipere: African Rainbow, Colorful Tribal Dance this Saturday from 5-10 p.m. This event celebrates the beauty of African culture through colorful dance, drumming, and storytelling.
