Submissions

Omaha Magazine takes pride in telling stories about the people and places of our city, and telling them well. Articles are positive and colorful, and celebrate what it means to live and work in Nebraska’s largest city. These stories are published across a variety of publications, each with its own focus:

  • Omaha Magazine
  • B2B Omaha
  • Family Guide
  • Omaha Home

Additionally, we also produce several special publications throughout the year, such as

  • Best of Omaha
  • Faces of Omaha
  • Omaha Performing Arts Programs
  • Physicians Bulletin

All of our publications can be viewed in magazine format by looking at our flip books

How to Pitch

Please note: we work four to six months in advance, so news pitches about coming events or seasonal issues (spring allergies, winter workout ideas) are normally not considered. If you wish to be considered for freelance work, please submit the following:

  • A resume
  • Two or three clips in published format and/or the links to the publications.
  • Two or three brief article ideas.
  • We’ll contact you with our pay rate and style guide if your qualifications meet our standards.
