Ty Lisiecki worked at Pruitt Outdoor Power for nine years before starting Ty’s Outdoor Power in Gretna.
“After doing it on my own for years, I partnered with Pruitt in 2010 so we could dominate this market,” Lisiecki explains.
Initially the Omaha location kept the Pruitt name while the Gretna location operated as Ty’s Outdoor Power, but in early 2017 both locations became Ty’s Outdoor Power. The company acquired a third store in Lincoln in March 2018.
“A lot of customers had figured out we were the same company anyway, and it didn’t make sense to continue marketing two separate brands,” Lisiecki comments.
The company sells and services mowers and yard equipment, snow removal equipment, and generators.
“If a commercial guy comes here in the morning with a broken mower, we’ll try to get their machine going right away or we’ll let them use one of our machines while theirs is being fixed,” Lisiecki says. “During snowstorms, our Gretna location is open 24 hours a day.”
