“It’s about the community , and Omaha is a great community.”
Omaha Mayor Jean Stothert understands this concept well. In her second term as Mayor of Omaha, Stothert places high priority on public safety, managing the city budget, job growth and economic development, and improving the taxpayer experience.
Serving people is Stothert’s passion. “The most satisfying part of my job is helping people solve the problems that affect their quality of life,” says Mayor Stothert. Whether taking calls on the Mayor’s Hotline, meeting people at their front door, or answering questions at the 35 Town Hall meetings she has held, providing excellent customer service at all levels of city government is always the goal.
Stothert recognizes that there are many great faces in our city. These Faces work in every industry and she is pleased that so many industries in the area are represented throughout this book.
“It is my pleasure to introduce to you these Faces—the leaders, the workers, the industry experts,” Stothert says.
