As Frank Hayes celebrates his company’s 40th anniversary and all it has accomplished—from maintaining stability through the COVID-19 pandemic to his 2009 induction into the Omaha Business Hall of Fame—he also has an eye on Hayes & Associates’ future and new opportunities for his team.
“We’re looking at the next 40 years,” he said. “My personal commitment is still there and as long as my health is good, I’ll be around. But we’re looking at the next phase of our firm and the idea of transition to new leadership.”
As part of the small firm’s commitment to best practices, Hayes & Associates became an independent member of BDO Alliance USA, the industry’s largest association of accounting and professional service firms, more than three years ago.
“It opens our avenues of research and background and experience to an entire conglomerate of CPA firms across the country and even internationally. We can access those resources pretty easily,” Hayes said, adding that the partnership also addresses the industrywide talent shortage. “We find good opportunities to work together.”
