“You have to ride to get here,” says Bill Fisher, marketing director for Loess Hills Harley-Davidson. “When people ride here they want to hang out, so we have events every Saturday.”

The rural dealership is a popular destination for Harley owners who come in to buy motorcycles, receive service, or purchase clothing and accessories. The dealership’s tag line is “Your Home in the Hills: Loess Hills Harley Davidson,” and employees greet customers with a friendly “Welcome home!” when they walk in the door. The dealership sponsors a chapter of H.O.G. (Harley Owners Group).

“The motorcycle riding community donates a lot of time and money to nonprofits,” Fisher remarks. “They’re a real giving group.” Local bikers raise thousands of dollars each year for breast cancer research, sick children, and a donkey rescue group called Lusco Farms. The Loess Hills dealership offers secure, climate-controlled motorcycle storage during the winter months, and the owners also operate a sister store in Mesa, Arizona, called Desert Wind.
