Background

rYES is the only organization in Omaha focused on meeting the needs of homeless youth in the community. Founded 43 years ago, YES offers a full continuum of care for homeless and at-risk youth ages 12-21. Many of these youth have been physically, emotionally, or sexually abused, making it unsafe for them to return home. Without YES, these vulnerable young people cannot succeed independently.r

Brag Line

rYES meets these youth where they are and helps them meet their basic needs for food, shelter, and safety before moving on to the next steps. YES services ensure that all youth receive the specialized support they need, whatever their situation. This includes a Street Outreach Center, Emergency Shelter, Transitional Living Program and Maternity Home. Throughout these programs, they offer case management, job readiness classes, group activities, support for the LGBTQ+ community, and specialized services for trafficked victims.r

Pay it Forward

rIn 2016-2017, YES served a record number of 3,376 young people throughout their programs. Financial contributions enable YES to keep youth off the streets and to ensure they have the resources needed to succeed.

YES serves approximately 50 youth per day at the Street Outreach Center. Meal volunteers are always needed. Donate items, shop, or volunteer at Tip Top Thrift Shop in the heart of Benson. All proceeds benefit YES.
