Drs. Beth Klawitter and Nathan Penney treat many problems involving the foot and ankle, including nerve entrapment, plantar fasciitis, ingrown toenails, flat feet, bunions, and hammertoes.
They also perform nail restorations on deformed toenails. Mid Plains Podiatry is the only provider in Omaha that uses the KeryFlex nail restoration system. This is a procedure in which a resin is applied and hardened with a special light, “bonding” the material to the nail to restore or improve its appearance.
Dr. Klawitter is a fellow of the Academy of Ambulatory Foot and Ankle Surgery who specializes in nerve entrapment and minimal-incision surgery. Her father was a known podiatrist in Omaha, and Dr. Beth continues the tradition of minimal-incision surgery as her father did for 33 years.
Dr. Penney works with ankle trauma and deformities. One of his specialties is replacing malfunctioning ankle joints in a procedure similar to hip or knee replacement. The Omaha native graduated from Burke High School and UNL. He returned to the “Good Life” three years ago to work with Dr. Klawitter after working in private practice in Florida for seven years.
