Background

rWhen we think about our community, we imagine one that is safe, healthy, successful, and connected. That’s why Completely KIDS has a mission to empower kids and families with the skills necessary to break the cycle of poverty and overcome barriers to their success. Each year, Completely KIDS serve more than 2,000 Omaha-area kids, primarily between the ages of 4 and 14, and their families in working toward this mission.The organization’s work takes place after the school day and during the summer with kids. Completely KIDS provides a safe, academically supportive, and enriching environment via partnerships with area schools, homeless shelters, and other local agencies. Additionally, Completely KIDS provides expanded services to the families of kids in the form of literacy, educational support, mental health services, and referrals to other agencies as needed.r

Brag Lines

rCompletely KIDS was the first Omaha nonprofit to provide after-school services for children in homeless shelters, and a weekend food program. Last year, they served more kids than ever through weekend and after-school food programs, enhanced services for families, and employed additional teen alumni.

Perhaps the latest excitement comes from the current renovation and expansion taking place at Complete KIDS’ headquarters. Once complete, services will increase, allowing them to make a greater impact on kids and families in Omaha.r
