Dr. Elizabeth Klawitter of Mid Plains Podiatry offers over 20 years of experience in foot surgery.

Dr. Klawitter is a Nebraska native; in fact, her father was a podiatrist in the Omaha area for over 33 years and also practiced minimally invasive foot surgery. Dr. Klawitter is board certified in minimally invasive foot surgery by the Board of Multiple Specialties and a Fellow of the Academy of Ambulatory Foot and Ankle surgery in Minimal Incision Foot Surgery. She continues her father’s legacy of minimal incision foot surgery, which means smaller incisions and less trauma to the area. No sutures or tourniquets are used in these surgeries. The types of surgeries that she performs are unique, and she lectures and teaches on this subject matter multiple times a year. Nerve entrapment in the foot is another field in which Dr. Klawitter specializes. She is on staff at UNMC, Boys Town, Omaha Surgical Center, and Advanced Surgical Center. There is also a surgical suite in her office.
