It is officially summer and that means live music and outdoor activities are in full swing across the Capital City. From the jaw-dropping Pinewood Bowl to Sunken Gardens, you really can’t go wrong in the summer when it comes to finding outdoor entertainment and things to do in Lincoln.
Pinewood Bowl sits on the western edge of Lincoln near Pioneers Park with a view of Lincoln’s evolving downtown skyline set against the summer sky—a particular treat. National acts Vampire Weekend and Jason Mraz are set to play Pinewood Bowl in July 2024 with other acts such as Dwight Yoakam, John Fogerty, and Barenaked Ladies set for concerts later in the summer.
The amazing flowers and plants are in bloom at Sunken Gardens, located just southeast of Lincoln’s downtown area. Meticulously planted in the spring, the wide varieties of floral excellence await as you stroll through the scenic walking areas and reflect on the beautiful surroundings.
