Russ Finch’s “Greenhouse in the Snow” system is revolutionizing sustainable agriculture. “This is kind of a marriage between a conventional greenhouse and the original Walipini,” co-owner Allen Bright said.

The amount of electricity used is little enough to maintain a low startup cost, ease of set-up, and energy efficiency. Greenhouses cost just a dollar a day to heat, even in freezing conditions.

Hawaiian Bros in Gretna serves unique comfort food inspired by the popular plate lunches of Hawaii. The fast-casual spot’s menu centers around tender, marinated meats, scoops of rice, and creamy macaroni salad. The Dole soft serve is not to be missed for dessert.
