Walker Tire Point S works hard find the right tires for people. “They might have someone commuting to and from Omaha or someone who just drives their vehicle around town,” President Nick Vuko said. “Those two people would need different tires. That’s why the staff takes time to ask questions such as, ‘What type of driving do you do? What is your budget? How many miles do you put on your car?’”
The company also offers a full-service auto shop with ASE-certified technicians. They can help with check-engine lights, suspension and steering, brakes, and diagnosis.
Walker was founded in 1951 and has been locally and family-owned since that time, so guests know they are getting experience. Since the beginning, they have been at the forefront of bringing great tires to Lincoln with brands such as Micheline, Bridgestone, Toyo, Nokin, and more.
“My father took over in 1983. He’s trained all his kids in tires and tire sales,” said Vuko. “That history, accompanied by our affiliation with Point S Co-Op, makes us the best.”
