CEO Steve Kunkel, who leads Stonebrook Companies with CEO Jason Reinke, describes it as “a myriad of companies” with a 20-plus year history in the residential and commercial construction sectors. Although each entity has unique characteristics, one common factor is an emphasis on service to the many communities in which they collectively operate. That means supporting a wide range of organizations, from independent local groups to local chapters of major national nonprofits.
“We support the universities and the colleges. We support the local schools. It’s extremely important for us to engage with the community itself,” Kunkel said. “Youth sports is another one. And we’re big military people and support veterans’ organizations.”
Youth-serving organizations, health charities, and faith-based service organizations are also included in the mix, he added, explaining that the Stonebrook team’s passion for philanthropy is manifested through donations, sponsorships, and supporting hands-on volunteering. Not only does giving help to individuals enhance the community, it also cultivates a sense of pride.
“We provide the opportunity for community engagement,” Kunkel said. “It’s about creating purpose.”
