In Lincoln, women who are feeling scared and alone due to an unexpected pregnancy can turn to the Pregnancy Center, where they will be embraced with unconditional acceptance and support.
The Pregnancy Center provides tests, ultrasounds, parenting classes, and resource materials—all completely free. They ensure professional care is delivered with compassion through their staff, which includes nurses, sonographers, and an OBGYN. They have established relationships in the community for medical referrals, housing, and more.
“Foremost, we educate women about all their options so they can make an informed decision,” Executive Director Pat McCarthy said. “Parenting, adoption, and abortion are all options; however, we never recommend abortion. Everything we do is done gracefully. We just meet them where they’re at.” They make sure the women leave educated about their choices and not feeling alone.
Pregnancy Center is a faith-based nondenominational organization supported by donations from the community. McCarthy is the main fundraiser while his wife, Kim, the Pregnancy Center’s director, gives their mission its heartbeat with an outpouring of love on the women they serve.
