"Hub Café is more than a local eatery,” said Crystal Bock Thiessen, who co-owns the establishment with husband and executive chef Jake Thiessen. During its nine years in business, Lincoln’s farm-to-table café has become exactly what its name suggests.
“We have positioned ourselves as a community hub for good, locally-sourced and chef-driven food, with one of the best patios and balconies in town,” she explained.
From May to September, the Hub hosts a weekly Wednesday Farmers Market with a special monthly menu that features ingredients from the vendors and growers.
In 2024 the Hub introduced a holiday pop-up bar, The Holiday Hub, which will run annually from late November through the end of December. This year, they also extended their hours and are now open Tuesday through Sunday into the evening, with an afternoon happy hour and a monthly rotating pizza and dinner menu.
Located right off the bike trails in Union Plaza, the Hub Café is continuing to expand its role as a gathering place where good food and community naturally come together.
