Python 101

Learn Python from real programmers practicing in both data science and app development.

Python is one of the more popular languages to learn (especially for beginners) because of its flexibility. It can be used to make a game, web app, automating really boring things, and is a corner stone of doing data science. This language is so popular because it has an easy to learn syntax and also open-source: meaning that the language is being contributed by the communities around the world making it stable, long-lasting, and in-demand.  The Omaha Data Science Academy uses practicing data scientists and programmers from local data science consulting company, Contemporary Analysis,  to teach new to programming students a crash course in the basics of programming, data structures and object oriented design, basic web development, how to use Jupyter Notebooks, GitHub, and web scrapers as well as functional programming concepts and key Python libraries: (Numpy and Pandas). Cost:  One class--$3,500 This class qualifies for WIOA and GI Bill through partnership with AIM Code School. The 2021 ODSA Catalog
