Outlook Enrichment Dessert in the Dark – Valentine’s Day
Fundraiser for the nonprofit Outlook Enrichment highlights capabilities of visually impaired

Activate the sweet tooth of everyone in your family with a delicious dessert for a good cause on Valentine’s Day. Outlook Enrichment, the nonprofit dedicated to helping anyone dealing with vision loss find the resources they need to stay independent and continue doing the things they love, is making its signature Dessert in the Dark experience accessible at home in partnership with The Omaha Bakery. Dessert in the Dark provides everything participants need for an entertaining time, making memories and learning something new about vision loss with loved ones.
Order a Dessert in the Dark To-Go experience kit by Feb. 1 at outlooken.org/dessert! Select a two-hour window on Feb. 11 to pick-up at either Omaha Bakery location: on 72nd street near Nebraska Furniture Mart or in Elkhorn just west of Menards. The kit includes a surprise dessert, detailed activity instructions and a sleep shade with a bib and wipe.
When you’re ready for dessert, put on your sleep shade and use the enclosed discussion guide to create a unique experience and conversation about vision loss. The event illustrates the capabilities of the visually impaired, and participants will learn more on how they can empower and advocate for their neighbors living with vision loss.
Desserts are $15 each and are discounted with bulk orders. The fundraiser supports Outlook Enrichment’s programs and services, which have been modified during the pandemic to provide virtual adaptive technology training, a range of support groups and online events to keep serving the nearly 15,000 people impacted by vision loss in the Omaha metropolitan area.
