“The new future for simulators” in sports has made its way to Omaha according to Altitude Trampoline Park worker Brandon Berls-Ross. Their new four-sport simulator, BatFast, is paving the way for sports entertainment across the country.
The sports simulator puts players into the games offering baseball, cricket, tennis, and lacrosse. Only one of two businesses in the nation to get BatFast, Altitude Trampoline Park is the only place in America that has BatFast with all four sports included.
Invented in England, the simulator that combines augmented reality technology with precision intelligence hardware to train and entertain. Altitude Trampoline Park features two BatFast simulators for guests.
A BatFast representative from London came down to Altitude to help them set up the simulators in August. “It was pretty exciting for us, because we did have somebody that speaks with quite the English dialect from London that came over and helped us for over a week to get everything set up from scratch.” said general manager Ron Pullen.
BatFast creates a competitive drive and excitement within kids of all ages. Players select their age range then one of the four levels from beginner to professional. Kids are not just having fun with the simulator, but they are learning. “The most satisfying part is that the kids aren’t coming in here and just jumping on the trampolines. Now they’re coming in here, they’re having fun. Playing a game, but also learning a sport and getting better at it.” Pullen exclaimed.
The BatFast mission is simple, “to increase global participation in all sports.” according to their website. At Altitude kids and adults alike can get the opportunity to try out sports they might have never played such as cricket.
Within the first months Batfast has been open, Altitude has received a lot of attention in Omaha. Being such a large baseball community, and the home of the College World Series, Pullen is sure Omaha will love BatFast. “Everybody’s used to being batting cages. But this is a little different. It’s a batting cage, bit it also has a gaming aspect and simulation.” Pullen commented.
