The T. Hurt Construction team remodels homes from many eras—particularly adept at renovating older homes—giving special attention to seamlessly blending in the new with important historic details. 

“We maintain the style of the house but bring it up to modern standards and modern design trends,” said owner Andy Hearn.  

Hearn bought the business nine years ago from Terry Hurt, who founded the company in 1994 and remains involved. The T. Hurt team’s expertise accommodates complex older-home projects like plaster repair, bringing electrical and plumbing up to code, and updating heating and cooling systems. A remodel typically also improves flow and functionality, like removing walls between kitchens and dining rooms to create an open floor plan. 

Hearn noted that his team can achieve an amazing whole-house transformation or improve a target area just like the remodeling shows on TV that serve as inspiration for many home-owners; no camera crew necessary.

“Your home won’t be done in 30 minutes,” Hearn said, wryly. “But it helps people understand what they want.”
