Easter 2022: Where to Spot the Easter Bunny in Omaha

The Easter Bunny is making his way to Omaha. Find an egg hunt and photo op near you this weekend with Omaha Magazine's Easter activities roundup: 

  • Easter Extravaganza at Lauritzen Gardens, through April 18:
    The Easter Bunny has emptied his basket at Lauritzen Gardens. Guests can book a timed ticket to hunt for giant eggs, decorate the trees, and enjoy viewing spring blooms here.
  • Easter Bunny at Omaha Children’s Museum, Friday, April 15 and Saturday, April 16:
    Children can visit the Easter Bunny and participate in springtime activities at Omaha Children’s Museum this Friday and Saturday.Regular museum admission applies, bookable here.
  • The Easter Bunny at Nebraska Furniture Mart, Saturday, April 16:
    Visitors can take photos with the Easter Bunny and pick up Kid’s Crafter Bags (200 available) from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. this Saturday at NFM. More information is available here.
  • Omaha Candy Dash at Mission Church, Saturday, April 16:
    A free, fun, family-oriented event will take place this Saturday in North O: Mission Church is hosting a spring carnival that includes food, raffles, popcorn, cotton candy, face painting, a petting zoo, and, of course, a candy dash for kids age 0-12. More information is available here.
  • Easter Egg Hunt and Food Drive, Saturday, April 16:
    The Easter Bunny is dropping off more than 16,000 eggs at the La Vista Sports Complex, ready for hunting season in the softball fields. Participants are encouraged to head to the Sports Complex before 10 a.m. to park and stake out a spot in one of several age-group-specific areas, and to bring a food or cash donation for the Tri-City Food Pantry.   • Annual Sarpy County YMCA Egg Dash, Saturday, April 16:
    The Sarpy County YMCA and the Sarpy Pediatric Therapy Center is holding an all-inclusive Easter Egg Dash. The event will include a 5-and-under field, a sensory-friendly field, and a wheelchair-accessible field. Registration for this free event is here.
