Celebrating Tony Conrad, Thursday, May 27 to Friday, May 28:
A two-day online festival celebrating the late drone music and film artist Tony Conrad will be streaming this weekend, courtesy of Bemis Center for Contemporary Arts and Front Porch Productions. Conrad is one of the most influential artists of the sound art and experimental music world, and Bemis Center has invited a variety of artists to record a video tribute to Conrad and his work to keep his legacy alive. Opera Under the Stars, Friday, May 28 and Saturday, May 29:
Opera Omaha returns with a new dazzling outdoor concert featuring opera classics performed by some of Omaha’s favorite opera stars. The soloists, including performers who have graced the stage in previous Opera Omaha productions and brand-new artists, will present a concert medley of live opera favorites from Tchaikovsky, Mozart, and more. Chairs will be provided, and refreshments will be available for purchase. Masks required, and no outside food or drink will be permitted. Get tickets here.

Game On! at Omaha Children’s Museum, Starting Saturday, May 29:
This new interactive exhibit brings fan-favorite board and video games to Omaha Children’s Museum and turns them into a life-size adventure. Play old-school playground games, learn about the history of some of the most beloved pastimes, and even make up a game of your own. Reserve your spot for the opening weekend here.

Monument Rededication at Memorial Park, Saturday, May 29:
This Saturday, join Omaha Parks, Recreation and Public Property Department as they re-dedicate the Airborne Memorial, Marine Medallion, and the Victory ‘95 Memorial, which were moved from Heartland of America Park to Memorial Park at 6005 Underwood Avenue. The dedication ceremony will include skydivers, honorary guests, and special speakers including Congressman Don Bacon, Bill Williams with Patriotic Productions, and more. A reception will take place by the monuments after the dedication: masks strongly recommended. More info here.
