High School Hockey Nationals, Thursday, April 15 to Monday, April 19:
Omaha Junior Lancers Hockey is hosting the USA Hockey High School National Championship tournament this weekend, welcoming teams from across the country. Games will be played at Ralston Arena, Moylan Iceplex, and the Breslow Ice Hockey Center. Currently, only friends and family members of players are invited to attend games in person, but true hockey fans can stream the tournament live on HockeyTV. Tune in here to watch these budding stars compete for the most sought-after title in amateur hockey, right here in our hometown! 

Allman Betts Band at Orpheum Theater, Friday, April 16:
The legendary Allman Betts Band will be playing original music from their two recent albums, solo projects, and covers of classic songs by their equally legendary fathers in The Allman Brothers Band this Friday at Omaha's Orpheum Theater. Formed in 2018, The Allman Betts Band includes Devon Allman (son of Gregg Allman) and Duane Betts (son of Dickey Betts), and features six other talented musicians bringing sound full of legacy roots and modern rock flair. Ms. Frizzle's Wacky Weekend, Friday, April 16 to Sunday, April 18:
Get ready for a busload of science, because the Magic School Bus is making a science stop at Omaha Children's Museum to participate in Nebraska Science Festival. Ms. Frizzle is bringing DIY science kits, a make-your-own-slime bar, and rocket ship designs along with her to share with all of Omaha's aspiring mad scientists. Activities are included with regular admission, but the museum is still operating at a 20% capacity, so be sure to reserve your timed ticket beforehand here. Meet Ms. Frizzle, and join her for a weekend of "taking chances, making mistakes, and getting messy." 
 

Bockfest at The German-American Society, Saturday, April 17:
The 2021 Bockfest will be held in-person this Saturday from 1-7 p.m. at The German-American Society. Bockfest celebrates the release of winter-brewed Bock Beer, full of higher sugar and more alcohol. Come experience the unique traditions of German Bock beer brewing, including having your pint "poked" with a hot poker to melt the winter-weather ice crystals before you enjoy for a complex, caramelized drink. Omaha Quad Con, Saturday, April 17 to Sunday, April 18:
Get your pop culture celebration on: Quad Con is coming to Omaha this weekend. Quad Con, the family-friendly comic, art, and toy convention, will be at Oak View Mall on Saturday and Sunday. Cosplay is welcome, but the convention asks that guests remember the family-friendly nature of their event. Visit the convention to show off you cosplay skills, sell parts of your collection, or even take home a little piece of nostalgia from childhood. One lucky cosplayer will will a prize of $100, so don't be shy! Entry fees range from $3-$5 – get more information here.
