Alicia Olatuja at Holland Arts Center, Thursday, March 11, 2021:

Omaha Performing Arts is back with another event perfect for Women’s History Month. Alicia Olatuja is coming to the Holland Arts Center to celebrate the iconic musical classics that came from the minds of music’s great women. Her program “Intuition” features songs of Brenda Russell, Sade, Tracy Chapman, Kate Bush, and more. Head to the Holland an hour early to catch Omaha’s own “Queen of Soul” Kathy Tyree and her pre-show curtain warmer discussion on groundbreaking Black women in jazz. Tickets available here.

The Phantom of the Opera at Kroc Center, Thursday, March 11–Sunday, March 14, 2021:

Omaha’s Kroc Center presents a new take on Gaston Leroux’s classic love story, put on by the students of One For All Musical Theater. The organization’s founder and executive director Kim Moore produced new music and an original script that will transport you back to the beloved setting at the Paris Opera in 1890. This retelling reimagines a timeless tale of hope, and the show gives students in the Omaha area the chance to participate in a musical production in whatever capacity they would like: from the orchestra pit to the spotlight. Get tickets to this family-friendly production here.
