Cellar44 owner Wendy Sutton-Millage dreamed of having a hip neighborhood wine bar in West Omaha. After talking about this with friends for more than a decade, she made the dream a reality in March 2019. 

The venue opened to rave reviews in November 2019, but months later, the existential threat of COVID-19 hit. Wendy and her crew got creative and relied on their regular customers, and remained open despite the challenge created by the pandemic. Some of their solutions included an expanded menu, the addition of premium spirits, and an increased space with the recent addition of an amazing, private back patio. 

Cellar44 was ecstatic and humbled to be named Best of Omaha. The team is very proud of this accomplishment and vows to make the experience of every customer at Cellar44 live up to this honor.
