Free Fashion Exhibit, Thursday, Sept. 17:

The exhibition @viral_re_collection, curated by Abby Fogle and Esau Betancourt, “examines the interdependencies of desire, digital images, and physical clothing objects in mass production consumer markets.” Works by artist Jenna Boyles, sculptor Erin Smego, and fashion designer Kate Walz for Querencia Studio ask the viewer to question how they consume and suggest alternatives to clothing consumption in the future. Make an appointment at Generator Space of Amplify Arts here to explore this exhibit for free.

Movie Night, Friday, Sept. 18:

Spend an evening outside during Free Friday Movie Nights at Ditmar’s Orchard & Vineyard. Movies start at dusk, but if you get there early you can take view the scenery of the orchard in autumn. This week's movie is the 1985 classic The Goonies. Social distancing will be practiced. You are allowed to bring your own chairs, blankets, and bug spray, but not outside food or drink. The café will be open, as well as the bar offering their wine and hard cider. Follow Ditmar's on Facebook for future movie titles, and find out more here.

MAHA Fall Concert Series, Friday, Sept. 18 through Saturday, Sept. 26:

While we don’t get the full MAHA show this year, Slowdown has come to the rescue. The MAHA Fall Concert Series is happening in a safe, socially distanced way, including the use of 10-foot by 10-foot pods. This weekend you can catch Clarence Tilton with Pony Creek on Friday, and Rhythm Collective (pictured) with Ro Hempel Band and Dereck Higgins on Saturday. For the full list of performances, bump your elbow here.

Eat a Taco, Saturday, Sept. 19:

We know it’s not Tuesday, but let’s be honest—every day is a good day for tacos and music. Tacos & Turntables brings you both this Saturday. This parking lot party is happening at the Papillion Masonic Temple, with food from The Taco Evangelist and music from DJs Animale and Rebirth. Stay tuned for more information here.

Continuing Celebration, Sunday, Sept. 20:

Keeping the Oktoberfest train rolling, you can head to Brickway Oktoberfest 2020 this weekend for an all-day, coronavirus-safe celebration. Buy a half liter stein for $10 or bring your favorite from home and get $5 refills all day. Warm pretzels, tasty brats, and, of course, your favorite beers will be there to feed the festive mood. And if you dress the part—lederhosen, dirndls, and haferl shoes are encouraged—you could win a Brickway bottle of your choice. Get the full scoop here.
