Thursday, Nov. 21:Take a night to go out, convene, and converse for an evening before the hectic holidays descend upon us. The VERbAL Gumbo 8-year Anniversary Show is a great way to do all that, and grab a bite to eat. Do you have all kinds of feelings you’ve been dying to share? Add your name to the poetry sign-up list. Or, if speaking in front of a group makes you shake just thinking about it, simply listen to others as they share their stories. Hear the full word here, and get a taste of what to expect here.
Friday, Nov. 22-23:Missing those weekend Farmers’ Markets already? Midtown Merry Market is here to help, with over 30 local makers and vendors braving the chill to satisfy all your gifting needs. With music, food, an appearance by Santa Claus, and a little something to sip on from Empire Room’s full bar, this event has a bit of holiday joy for everyone, including football fans. Did we mention the perfect lighting yet? Be sure to get all the details here.
Saturday, Nov. 23:We want to make sure you have the chance to scratch that get-to-market itch this weekend, so head to Village Pointe for their Holiday Pop Up Market. With fresh food, baked goods, specialty food items, and items from local crafters, it’s just the excuse you need to get out this weekend. For more information on this event, click here.
Saturday, Nov. 23 through Saturday, Nov. 30:Small trees, tall trees, red trees, all trees will be on display at the Feztival of Trees this year at the Tangier Shrine. Trees and prizes are donated by sponsors. For only $2 per adult (13 and over), you can peep the trees and maybe find some decorating inspiration for your own Christmas tree. Or, try to win one of your favorites by entering the raffle. And what feztival is complete without some sweet treats, available at the Snowflake Cafe. Find out more here.
Sunday, Nov. 24:It’s almost time for sending out those holiday cards. Not sure what photo you’re going to use yet? Why not use one of your favorite doggo and Santa Claws? Head to Mangelsen’s, where you can make that happen for only $10 at the Photos with Santa event. Proceeds go to the Muddy Paws Puppy Parvo Project. Pets, people, and children are all welcome. Learn more here.
