Background

Twenty-five years ago, two men went to the Douglas County Youth Center (DCYC) with a Bible and a boom box to help the youth incarcerated there find a better way. Today, not only is Release Ministries still there, but the ministry is active throughout the city, seeing youth, their families, and future generations being transformed through a relationship with God and safe, intentional, and loving adults.

Brag Lines

Although Release Ministries has never forgotten its roots, the organization has grown into a multi-pronged movement, serving marginalized youth and children from the time clients are removed from homes until the time they can be reunited with families. In the last year, Release assisted over 1100 youth and children who were at risk of removal or had already been removed from homes, and worked with over 250 families, enabling them to become safe and healthier places to live and receive their children back home.
